Stewart Burnett - Football Coach

My intrest in Football started back when I was way younger, initially I didn't care much for football and was happy just being a youngster running around and doing what they do, until my older sister invited me along to play one day at a school training session, this wasn't the most amazing day I must say but we must all start somewhere! Almost 15 years and a few ups and downs in my journey through football, I found myself volunteering at Active Schools, there I started my coaching journey, Helping out at a local club called Mintlaw Boys Club! During my time there I had done all the courses on SFA I could learning everything from specified training, group coaching all the way to mental health in our children. These courses made me the coach I am! During this time I also began planning, I had an idea of something I wanted to do, to not only fulfill my old dreams but help others do that to, and so it began in 2020 On The Ball Coaching, officially self employed, and coaching the future!

As a coach, I like to think of myself as kind, forgiving but also someone who has a demanding and harder side, I love perfection and I strive to reach the best version of that. I push all my clients to their best self, wether it be football lessons I teach them or even just life lessons on the way, I hope by taking them for that hour a week or even half hour that they go home and say they learnt something! My proudest moments and those that make me the happiest is always when I hear the children I coach leave saying that they learnt something or even enjoyed it, and what makes it better is hearing how they perform! I hope to continue this till I'm old and unable to keep up those kids anymore, not like I could anyway....
